Ugliest Sweater Competition Returns to the Flatiron

Ugliest Sweater Competition Returns to the Flatiron
Eric Shapiro

Looking for a chance to wear the ugly sweater your grandma bought you for Hanukkah or Christmas that you felt too guilty to return? Well, you’re in luck. As a part of their 23 Days of Flatiron Cheer, Flatiron 23rd Street Partnership invites you to take part in their Ugliest Sweater Competition. Taking place tomorrow, December 11th, following the Madison Square Park Conservancy‘s annual Tree Lighting Ceremony at 6:30 PM, participants will have the opportunity to show off their ugliest sweater on stage for all to admire. In case the prospect of dazzling the audience with a hideous article of clothing isn’t enough motivation, the lucky winner will take home a bevy of great prizes:

A two (2) night weekend stay at the Carlton Hotel ($650 value)
$100 Gift Card to Harding’s
$75 Gift Card to Shake Shack
$50 Gift Card to Flatiron Lounge
1 Month Pass to the New York Health & Racquet Club ($175 value)”

The Ugliest Sweater Competition will be emceed by none other than Jon Weinstein of NY1 News. Judges will include:

Rob Shuter, host of VH1’s “The Gossip Table” and HDNet’s “Naughty But Nice with Rob;
the winner of BaubleBar‘s Hot Santa contest (to be determined earlier that day);
John Friia, a Baruch College student who won last year’s Ugliest Sweater Competition.”
