The Marble Collegiate Church, located in the Flatiron District at 5th Avenue and 29th Street, has organized a pair of great events to celebrate the NYC Pride March.

On Sunday, June 29th at 9:00 AM, the Marble Collegiate Church will host its annual breakfast for an entrance fee of $12. Then, from 12:15 PM – 3:00 PM or so, the Marble Collegiate Church will march behind its marble banner at the the NYC Pride March (traditionally know as the “gay pride parade”). Marble Collegiate Church will also set up a water table to provide refreshment for thirsty marchers, which will be open from 12:00 PM – 1:30 PM and 1:30 PM – 3:00 PM. Attendees are invited to help promote the event with hashtag #nypride and to shout out @marblechurch on Twitter.

The Collegiate Churches of New York, consisting of four individual churches spread throughout the city, may be the oldest Protestant organization in North America, but it is thoroughly modern in its approach to worship. Its Senior Minister, Dr. Michael B. Brown, describes the Church as a “community of believers” that prides itself on an inclusive attitude that welcomes individuals of all races, cultures and sexual orientations. The Church is known for its LGBTQ advocacy and anti-poverty efforts.
