Eric Shapiro

The Flatiron District’s reputation as a mecca for tech startups is well established, so it should come as little surprise that Digital.NYC will visit the neighborhood as part of its Digital.NYC Five-Borough Tour. On Thursday, April 2nd from 6:30 to 9:30 PM at General Assembly, a panel of tech and startup experts will arrive in the neighborhood that originated the term “silicon alley.” They will discuss a range of issues including skill development, finding a job at a tech startup and sourcing talent. Digital.NYC will also advise attendees on how to best take advantage of the thriving tech and startup community in New York City. The panel discussion is the product of a partnership between the Flatiron BID and General Assembly. Free tickets will be available through Eventbrite shortly from this page. Use hashtags #DigitalNYC and #Flatiron to join the conversation and find out more via social media.

Digital.NYC panelists include:

From Digital.NYC’s website: “Digital.NYC is the official online hub of the New York City startup and technology ecosystem, bringing together every company, startup, investor, event, job, class, blog, video, workspace, accelerator, incubator, resource and organization in the five boroughs. It is the result of a unique public/private partnership between the office of Mayor Bill de Blasio, the New York City Economic Development Corporation, IBM, Gust, and over a dozen leading NYC-based technology and media companies.”
