National Park Service Hits Flatiron Plazas to Pitch “Find Your Parks” with Giant Interactive Sign and Compass

National Park Service Hits Flatiron Plazas to Pitch “Find Your Parks” with Giant Interactive Sign and Compass
Tod Shapiro

The latest exhibiting group to show up in the Flatiron Public Plazas is none other than the National Park Service. A fitting exhibit for the season, as New York (finally!) is experiencing some spring-like weather, and with it, the desire to get out and experience the best our country has to offer in terms of its wide-open spaces. The park rangers were there in their spiffy green uniforms, helping Flatiron pedestrians use their giant spinning sign, and some handy tablets as well, to locate all the National Parks. Spin the compass around, and as it points from east to west and north to south, the screen will come up with one of the 400+ national parks across the country. Flatiron Hot! News caught up with some of the park rangers, who filled us in on how New Yorkers stand to benefit if they visit our National Parks. Go to the website www.findyourpark.com, or take a picture and post to Twitter or Instagram with hashtag #findyourpark and take part in promoting our wonderful parks. If you can’t make it out there on Thursday and Friday of this week, then check out the quick Flatiron Hot! News clip below to get a sense of what is out there.
