Fashion Week Catwalks Make Virtual Appearance in Flatiron Public Plazas!

Fashion week made it’s annual appearance in NYC this past week – and the Flatiron District had a chance to share in some of the reflected glory and excitement – if only virtually! This past Friday evening saw Flatiron denizens and fashion-lovers gathered together in the Flatiron Public Plazas, as a live feed from the Fashion Week action was broadcast on a giant outdoor monitor for everybody to take in the latest fashions and models exhibiting their wares. This reporter took a few minutes to admire the latest styles. The Public Plazas were packed as our friends and neighbors called out their comments on some of the latest fashions – and models – as they made their way down the catwalks, to nods and sounds of approval (and in some cases, disapproval). Several observers couldn’t resist the urge to simulate their own catwalks in front of the monitor at the south end of the plazas. All in all, it looked like everybody was having a good time, and it’s just a reminder of how our public plazas have become an excellent place to take in the latest happenings here in NYC. If you missed it, check out a quick video clip to get a taste of the proceedings.
