My baby cousin hard at work!

If you’ve got little ones who are art lovers, then you’re in luck. Every Tuesday throughout the summer, Madison Square Park holds a kids’ art activity. These programs are led by art instructors from Studio in a School. Kids are given a look at Martin Puryear’s sculpture Big Bling, in order to find inspiration to create their own art projects. So if your kids are into to making art, then bring them on over!

Flatiron Hot! News staff went over to observe the young artists, as they translated their impressions of Big Bling and the stimulating sights and sounds of Madison Square Park into their youthful artistic visions – an inspiration for the adults as well! For those who couldn’t make it over this week to see the creative process, check out this quick Flatiron Hot! Video Clip, or better yet, bring your own kids over next week!
