The Rolln Credo!

The 23rd Street corridor between Lexington and Sixth Avenues, spanning Flatiron, continues to expand its awesome array of fast-casual dining options for workers and residents in Flatiron with the recent opening of “Rolln'” at 38 East 23rd Street between Madison and Fifth on the south side of the street  (www.rollnco.com phone: 646-869-0826 e-mail: catering@rollncon.com). It is a new storefront site for a variety of sushi.  I stopped in to chat briefly with the staff and owner, who showed

High Tech Kiosks to See Your Favorite Sushi!

me a colorful, mouth-watering, and full-featured menu of sushi delicacies and scrumptious-looking soups.  This store, located near Flatiron’s McDonald’s, Zucker’s Bagels, and Arby’s, among others, right across from Mad Square Park, has a warm, modern high-tech feel which is just right for Flatiron’s digital media vibe these days, One can stroll in and order directly from the happy and helpful staff, or take advantage of  touch screen kiosks for a colorfully descriptive and fun order of your favorite sushi choice of the day. I can’t say I’ve seen the touch screen  approach, so prevalent at Mickey D’s and other fast food emporiums, take center stage at a sushi shop!  Gavin Tseng, owner and co-founder, gave me the run-down. This is their one-and-only storefront right now, the sushi is great and available for in-store sit-down eating, or catering orders for businesses and residents in the vicinity, and he hopes the neighborhood will take to his new store!  So, sushi lovers, stop by and check out their menu on your next stroll down 23rd Street and give it a  try, Good luck, Gavin, and welcome to Flatiron!
